Stone wash on knitwear – perfect for spring
Stone wash is a familiar look in the world of denim. Applied to knitwear, it creates a modern, uncomplicated look that's perfect for the transitional seasons. The surface has a vibrant feel, the color is slightly faded, and the style feels comfortable against the skin – ideal for those first milder days.
Important to note: Stone wash is not a uniform effect. Each piece develops its own unique look. Subtle differences are part of the process and make the look special.

This is how stone-wash knitting is created – from raw yarn to early spring style
The stonewash look doesn't happen by chance, but through a multi-stage finishing process. Our stonewash partners receive finished knitted sweaters and shirts from the knitter, made from undyed raw yarn. Only then does the actual finishing process begin.
In the first step, the finished garments are dyed as a whole. They are all placed together in a large dye vat and given a denim- or nautical-inspired color. In this step, all pieces receive a nearly identical base color, which serves as a calming undertone.
The second step involves a combination of acid and stone washing. Here, work is deliberately carried out in small batches: only about 20 to 30 items are processed simultaneously in each washing cylinder. Stones and special chemicals are placed in the machine together.
The chemical substances ensure a controlled change in color, while the stones mechanically treat the material. Both processes occur simultaneously – and this is precisely where the typical stonewash effect is created. Each garment moves differently within the cylinder, is rubbed in different places, and is exposed to the friction for varying lengths of time.
The location, intensity, and duration of friction are never exactly the same. This results in subtle differences in color, wash, and abrasion. Even items from the same wash load ultimately exhibit individual nuances. It is precisely this random combination of chemical and physical effects that makes each piece unique.
Stone-wash knitwear in transition – two styles, many looks
This cable-knit polo shirt showcases this effect particularly well. The combination of a clean silhouette, cable knit structure, and stone-wash finish creates a fresh, modern look, perfect for kicking off the new season. The color is reminiscent of denim and navy, the fabric has a pleasantly soft feel, and each shirt has its own unique character.

The cable-knit sweater is also ideal for spring. The distinctive knit texture meets a soft stone-wash effect, creating a relaxed look that's easy to layer. Slight variations in color intensity and wash are normal and make each piece unique.

Individual washing of knitwear – deliberately different
Stone wash means that no two pieces look exactly alike. Slight variations in color, wash, or abrasion are part of the design. If your piece differs slightly from the product image, this is not a defect, but rather an intentional feature.
We also point this out with a special hangtag on the product.

Fresh start pieces for the new season
Stone-washed knitwear is perfect for the start of spring. For new looks that aren't too heavy, yet still have substance. For pieces with character that feel instantly familiar and fit perfectly into the transitional season.
Each piece is unique – and that's exactly what makes these styles so special.
